16 april 2019

During the first quarter of 2019 Moscow Branch of Joint Stock Company Freight One (JSC Freight One) transported 18.9 thousand tons of reinforced concrete products (RCP) on the platforms. It exceeds the similar last year indicator by two times. The freight turnover in this segment increased by 30% reaching 28 million tkm.

“The growth of indicators was provided for by our key customer – Mostozhelezo-betonkonstruktsiya Plant (a branch of JSC Dmitrovsky Reinforced Concrete Bridge Structures Plant). The enterprise increased the amount of shipments at the background of increased financing of the construction objects in Russia. In particular, the reinforced concrete structures of the plant are used for construction of Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM), construction of exits at the highways of Moscow and Moscow region, renovation of federal highways and other important infrastructure projects. In our turn, we provide for a timely supply of the rolling stock for transportation of the products to the addresses of our partner’s customers,” informed Viktor Khrapov, Director of Moscow Branch of JSC Freight One.

The technology of transportation on several platforms coupled with each other that had been developed and agreed with Russian Railways was used for transportation of the reinforced concrete structures. The freight was secured with the help of special detachable wicket gates designed by appointment of the plant and passed the mandatory government certification. After unloading of the products the specially equipped rolling stock was returned back for new loading. That allows avoiding deficit of the railway platforms including that during the time of high construction season.

The reinforced concrete products were transported on the platforms from Moscow region to the consignees located in the European part of Russia, including transportation to Kaliningrad using the transit via Republics of Belarus and Lithuania, as well as to Siberia, Volga region, the Urals and Far East.
