JSC Freight One Increased Amounts of Transportation to NLMK within the Limits of South-Eastern Railway
During the first quarter of 2019 Voronezh Branch of Joint Stock Company Freight One (JSC Freight One) transported in gondola cars 870 thousand tons of industrial raw materials increasing by 7% the respective indicator for the same last year period. The freight turnover in this segment increased by 11% reaching 31.4 million tkm.
”Increasing of the indicators was provided for by NLMK Group— the key customer of the branch. The metallurgical complex increased the amounts of limestone deliveries to Lipetsk Industrial Zone within the limits of South-Eastern Railway (SERW) by 7% as compared to the year 2018, reaching 858 thousand tons. NLMK is constantly upgrading the technology of steel-making, increasing at the same time the amounts of its output. In our turn, we perform all our obligations in terms of provision with the rolling stock in full volumes. Moreover, due to increasing the efficiency of the railcar fleet operation we managed to decrease downtimes of the gondola cars during loading by 0.5 days reaching 1.6 days, and during unloading operations – by 0.3 days reaching 2.3 days”, informed Alexander Gerasimov, Director of Voronezh Branch of JSC Freight One.
In the internal transportation the cargoes were forwarded within the limits of SERW primarily in order to provide for the needs of Novolipetsk Metallurgical Complex.
