JSC Freight One Increased by 15% Amounts of Unloading in Sea Ports of South Russia

11 april 2019

During the first quarter of 2019 Rostov Branch of Joint Stock Company Freight One (JSC Freight One) unloaded 4.1 million tons of cargoes (about 68.7 thousand railcars) in the railway stations of North Caucasus Railway (NCRW) located close to the sea ports. Basic drivers were represented by coal, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and light oil products.

“More than a half of the total amount of cargoes unloaded by the branch were un-loaded in the sea ports of Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Taman and Temryuk. I would point out the growing flows of Rosneft products for export coming from the Volga region among the key factors of the increase. There are also some other factors facilitating the positive dynamics – JSC Freight One is the only operator in the region that participates at daily phone conferences held by regional direction for traffic control of Russian Railways together with the stevedores and cargo owners. Every-day planning of routing the cargo trains to the ports allows performing regular transshipment of the export products at the terminals and timely forming consignments for the relevant vessels”, said Vadim Zhukov, Director of the Branch.

The loaded railcars were dispatched to the ports of South Russia from the railway stations of North Caucasus, South-Eastern, Kuybyshev, Moscow, Sverdlovsk, West Siberian and Krasnoyarsk Railways.

In the sea ports the cargoes were transshipped to the marine vessels and forwarded by sea to Turkey, Italy, China and the countries of North and South Americas.
